About

October, 2014

We use the Ubuntu distribution of Linux for deskstop, server and cloud computing. The Ubuntu operating system powers millions of desktop PCs, laptops and servers around the world. Ubuntu Server 14.10 LTS and 13.10 with OpenStack’s Havana release provide the most robust foundation for your cloud. Complemented by a powerful set of tools and services to make the difference to your business.

We use Moodle for course development. Moodle is an open-source course management system that has gained a large following among educators since it launched in the summer of 2002. The Moodle project claims 64 million users in 225 countries, according to statistics at Moodle.org. Moodle can scale to handle hundreds of thousands of students given enough server capacity and bandwidth. Educators, particularly early adopters of open source applications, have gravitated to the platform, which can be used to manage fully online courses or as an adjunct to traditional face-to-face classroom instruction ("blended learning").
